About the role:
The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting senior management by providing insightful financial analysis, developing financial models, and assisting in strategic planning. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

  • Work closely with business leaders to provide business insights and develop financial KPIs
  • Produce financial analysis for projects for ad hoc reporting
  • Review and support the development of business cases which require investment
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data for budgeting and forecasting
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Prepare and produce reports and recommendations on financial performance for regular business/leadership reviews
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations based on analysis
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Create a set or standard reports to inform critical business decisions containing financial information and data to ensure business decisions are in line with business objectives

What we’ll need from you:

  • Considerable experience in financial analysis, financial planning or related roles
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience in the technology or energy sector would be a distinct advantage
