StockExchange.EU Research Journal
Published by Savings UK Ltd

The StockExchange.EU Research Journal (SRJ) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to publishing high-quality research in finance, economics, technology, public health, and innovation. The editorial policy outlined below governs the journal’s standards, processes, ethical principles, and responsibilities. The goal of SRJ is to uphold the highest level of academic integrity, transparency, and editorial independence while supporting researchers from around the world.

1. Editorial Philosophy

SRJ is guided by a core belief that rigorous, evidence-based scholarship drives informed decision-making, innovation, and societal progress. The journal prioritizes research that is methodologically sound, ethically conducted, and relevant to global challenges. The editorial board seeks submissions that provide fresh insights, critical analyses, and solutions applicable across industries, sectors, and countries.

The journal embraces diversity in research perspectives and encourages interdisciplinary work that connects the fields of finance, economics, technology, public health, and innovation. SRJ also promotes open access to knowledge, enabling researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to benefit from published work without barriers.

2. Editorial Independence

The editorial process is strictly independent of any commercial, political, or organizational influence.
Neither Savings UK Ltd nor affiliated partners influence editorial decisions. All decisions of acceptance, revision, or rejection are made solely based on academic merit, originality, clarity, methodological quality, and contribution to the field.

Editors and reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest, recuse themselves from decision-making when necessary, and maintain confidentiality throughout the process.

3. Manuscript Screening and Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts undergo a three-stage editorial process:

a. Initial Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or handling editor conducts an initial review to assess:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope

  • Originality

  • Quality of writing

  • Compliance with submission guidelines

  • Ethical considerations

Manuscripts failing to meet basic requirements may be desk-rejected.

b. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts passing the screening are sent for double-blind peer review. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Typically, two reviewers are assigned, though additional reviewers may be consulted when needed.

Reviewers evaluate:

  • Importance of research questions

  • Appropriateness of methodology

  • Soundness of analysis

  • Clarity of presentation

  • Contribution to existing knowledge

  • Ethical compliance

Reviewers provide constructive feedback and a recommendation:
accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

c. Editorial Decision

The editorial board considers reviewer comments, author revisions, and overall merit before making a final decision. Decisions are communicated transparently, with detailed guidance for revisions when applicable.

The review process generally takes 4–8 weeks, though complex submissions may require more time.

4. Revision Process

Authors must submit revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe and include:

  • A highlighted or tracked-changes version

  • A clean version

  • A point-by-point response to reviewer comments

Failure to respond comprehensively may delay or jeopardize acceptance. Major revisions may undergo a second round of review.

5. Publication Ethics and Integrity

SRJ adheres to international publishing ethics standards including COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.

a. Originality and Plagiarism

Manuscripts must be original and not previously published. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is strictly prohibited. All submissions are screened for plagiarism using automated tools.

b. Data Accuracy and Reproducibility

Authors must present accurate data and may be asked to provide raw or supplementary data for verification. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data leads to immediate rejection.

c. Authorship Criteria

Authorship should reflect significant intellectual contribution, including:

  • Conceptualization

  • Methodological design

  • Data analysis

  • Manuscript drafting or revision

Gift authorship, ghost authorship, or any unethical practice is not allowed. All authors must approve the final manuscript.

d. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose financial, academic, or personal conflicts that may influence judgment.

e. Research Involving Humans or Animals

Such research must include details of ethical approval from recognized review boards. Informed consent is mandatory for studies involving human subjects.

f. Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Notes

SRJ reserves the right to issue corrections, retractions, or statements of concern when:

  • Major errors are identified

  • Ethical breaches occur

  • Data validity is questioned

  • Misconduct is confirmed

The journal follows COPE retraction guidelines.

6. Editorial Transparency and Communication

SRJ maintains open communication with authors throughout the review process. Editors provide clear explanations for decisions and strive to ensure fairness and consistency. Reviewers remain anonymous, and their feedback is treated as confidential.

The timeline for decisions may vary but every effort is made to maintain reasonable turnaround times without compromising review quality.

Complaints related to ethics, editorial behavior, or process integrity are investigated by the editorial board following COPE guidelines.

12. Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

SRJ supports inclusivity across regions, genders, institutions, and disciplines. The journal encourages submissions from early-career researchers, scholars from LMICs, and researchers outside traditional academic settings.
